It is still October
But the clock is ticking as fast as
My breath leaves the body
The fine grains of time slip through my fingers as I go along in life
As I scrape bits of memories I tried to list
Every passing day
There are too many smiles to count
Innocent ones
From faces that looks up to you in awe
Meaningful ones
From the people who cares about you the most
Whom takes pride in your achievement
Concern upon your regress
There are too many hugs to embrace
That I always try to drench myself in
From friendships that occurs in the strangest places
To fulfill my crave for touch
Or just as a mere expression of
I love you
I’m always here for you
There is too much laughter to enjoy
Upon the playfulness of kids
Upon inside jokes that utters no obvious sense
Except to you and your best friends
Until you lose your mind to the endorphins that rushes through your veins
And you question where it came from in the first place
How can I leave this island
Without carrying these bliss?
Is there a way to bottle up these memories?
To preserve it, treasure it
Keep it locked in a golden chest
Where every bit will remain intact
So we can live it
Relive it
And live it again
