Surviving is tough with the walking dead
Everybody that walks has turned ash-grey
Whatever you do, just aim for the head
They go for all people, don't be mislead
No one is safe, we will all end up prey
Surviving is tough with the walking dead
Sidewalks are stained, every street a deep red
If you leave them be, they won't die away
Whatever you do, just aim for the head
Get bitten and crave the brains in their head
They will sit, they will watch your skin decay
Living sure is tough with the walking dead
The bullets you use are heavy like lead
The shot gun you use is not for display
Whatever you do, just aim for the head
Into your body their teeth will embed
They don't do it in a well mannered way
Surviving is tough with the walking dead
Whatever you do, just aim for the head

- Title: Try to Survive
- Artist: Deliciously Deviant
- Description: A villanelle I wrote for my Creative Writing class last semester. No established meter. The rhyme scheme is different than I'm used to. But, hopefully you like it. :)
