Slickery, creeping,
twitching along.
The spider sings to the fly.
Precise, exacting
sneaking but strong.
The spider sings to the fly.

Crooning finality,
weaving a song.
The spider sings to the fly.
Snickering reminder,
of all known wrong.
The spider sings to the fly.

Sleek death knowing,
it registers now,
life is the spider and we the fly.
Resounding fate
reminds us how,
life is the spider and we the fly.
