Two Sides of Me

• Description: This was a poem I wrote about a boy who broke my heart. And even though I was dying inside, i wanted to still love him, but part of me kept saying to run away. I believe this is one of my best pieces. I hope that others can relate to it.

The other is running away.
Apart of me is holding back,
The other wants to stay.
A part of me is listening,
The other doesn't care.
A part of me wants you to love me,
The other knows you're not there.

It's short, but very meaningful. I think it shows the complication of love, especially the first two verses. Maybe confusion about feelings? I know how it feels. ^^
