• Possum on the roof,
    Jumping off the tree.
    Eating the persimmons,
    That I grew for me.

    Possum on the lectric wire,
    Like an acrobat,
    Takes what I desire,
    So he can grow fat.

    How I hate that possum,
    Big old hairless rat,
    Gonna get my waterhose,
And I'll get him good and wet.

Now he's on my fig tree,
    Munching on my figs.
    Looks like a crime spree,
    Eating figs and breaking twigs.

    How I hate that possum,
    Fat old ugly thing.
    Talent, he has got some,
    Just not enough to sing.

I could just get rid of him,
But then I'd miss him so.
So I'll just forget my whim,
I guess I'll just let him go.
