Amber Light
The rustling of the leaves
Amid the tall restless trees,
And with the setting of the sun
The day is almost done
Oh, how I wish you could see
The elongated shadows around me.
Bathed deep in amber light
For once everything seems alright.
The smile on your face
Makes it seem that everything is in place.
How I wish we could stay this way forever
Before the world begins to sever.
