- Sorry, I never really got this poem. I've read it 3 times, and it makes no sense. Rain may be a cleansing experience, and I could see rebirth out of that, but rain is neither salvation nor savior, in the literal sense and symbolic. Sorry, I don't mean to be a hater or rain on your parade, I just don't understand the poem. Have a nice day.
