Everyday 6 teenagers die from suicide. Although the numbers can vary.
People need to be more aware of this going on around them. But what is there to do to stop this? Nothing really, just to be there for your friend or family when they need you the most.
A few reasons why teens commit suicide: First one, they are overwhelmed with guilt, frustration or even anger or rejection. They try to escape problems that are impossible, and find themselves hurt even more. The second reason would be due to Narcotics. Falco can really mess with peoples emotions, so can pot. And we don't realize this but the affects of narcotics on some teenagers are very dramatic, they may get extremely depressed, thinking about all their failures or attempts. It also impacts their judgement and reaction to making adhesions. The final reason may be that, the teen has experienced a family member or a friend that committed suicide. This can intensify depression.. knowing that someone close to you did so, you may feel like your alone or angry that they left you in such a way. The most common causes are mental disorders which include depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, alcoholism and drug abuse. These are only a sum of the reasons why teenagers commit suicide.
This may not be the best paragraph to read but, how teenagers commit suicide is very depressing and hard to read for most.
It's a tricky question to answer, there are multiple ways one can kill oneself. Most common would be over dosage, this also may be a mistake, perhaps they drank too much, and no one was around to help them out or bring them to the hospital to get their stomach pumped, even with that being done, chances of life are slim. Teens may not know what they are getting themselves into. They might not take the time to think about how much it'll hurt people and themselves. Whatever the cause may be, it defiantly doesn't seem right. Of course those thoughts most likely aren't running through their head at that time.
How we can stop the ratio of teen suicide by going up? Talk to our friends or family members who have depression, or are acting different. People don't like to reach out to others so sometimes we have to be the one to ask questions. It's like the song How to save a life by The Fray. It's a great song.. Some of the lyrics are this: "Step one you say, "We need to talk."
He walks, you say, "Sit down, it's just a talk."
He smiles politely back at you,
You stare politely right on through,
Some sort of window to your right.
As he goes left and you stay right,
Between the lines of fear and blame,
You begin to wonder why you came." It shows how supporting someone through their problems is better rather than just telling them to quit their behavior. This song like many others is completely open to interpretation.
