His eyes roll back before death.
His face turn pale before death.
As if a phantom on a ghostly bed
The Angst Hero sleeps tonight.
Nothing but bleak blood deceased
Nothing but pain that grips demons to their knees
" Only way out is through window of dreams "
WAKE HIM UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE!
Can you hear the echoes tonight
Can you see the phantoms soar through the starless skies
His world; falls in between eternally
Beyond dreams and reality, into insanity
Save him from the rain-
Save him from the pain
Save him for his friend-
Save him for it's not his end
Suddenly his body engulfed in power and flames
Ashes of his dead memories his former self's death
Not alone in this silent night
He cries out to his dreadful angel.
Opening his eyes after a long and frightful trance
In aghast at the snow and withered rose in his hand
Deeper in though, how long had he been sleeping
" I must have been away for such a long time.
Please stay with me for a long, long time!
I don't want to be out there
I don't tend to be alone again
I grow sick of this passing day! "
Wishing him to carry on
I sought he would be fine without me
I spoke an imperishable wrong
I felt a Pyrrhic victory
The angst hero lives once more
Inside a mind of poetry
I felt a lugubrious feeling inside of me
Something I did so erratically
He lives without a proper rebirth
Storming the clouds of darkness and mystery
His secrets are long gone for me
Still spellbound by his art of poetry.

- Title: The Sleeping Hero
- Artist: Poetess Kaylee
- Description: i wanted to do something more that involves with a background scenery. Once again trying to copy Emily Dickison's detailed poetic approach ( similar to my Ancient Sea of Dying ) I wanted to extend and try not to make it rhyme or over excessive rhyme. Also taking influence from my other poem from the Maelstrom of Poetry, " Birth of an Angst Hero. "
