i'm full of anger, and i give up,
overdose, gunshot, suicide, none of these seem right
none of them have you with me in my life
Just always remember
I loved you more than I ever showed.
but if you don't hold on tight enough
it'll be alright, i'll drift away
and we'll be nevermore

I can't quite judge your perspective on the situation in your poem... And as for why love is so complicated; it's because people simply have no will or strength of heart.
