Once upon a time, there was a dear, old spider.
I noticed it in my time of feigning smiles and emotions.
It crawled upon the walls, and it captured my heart,
ever so lightly and gently.
It allowed me to talk to it and explain myself, my troubles, and my joys.
The spider quietly listened to it all. It said nothing, but said everything it needed to.
I grew the bond of a mother and child with this one soul who listened to me.
It was something I had longed for, day after day.
My feigning days were put to their rest.
I felt the warmth of another, and I could begin to truely show emotions.
But the longing feeling was growing again.
Was this right?
Was this natural?
I’m only human and this was all I knew.
Why did I begin to doubt the spider?
As my doubt grew, the spider came to me less.
“Forgive me! I need you!"
I chirped, with the sweet and sour tears, rolling down my pale skin.
The spider listened to my pleas, like it always did, but it did nothing.
I never saw it again.
It never saw me again.
Until we reached a white and gentle second life.
I took mine, another took his.
The tunes and warm embraces surrounding our beings.
We met with gentle and clean smiles.
This spider wasn’t what I knew
It was like me.
A shadowy, fuzzy bordered me.
Once upon my time, there was a dear, old spider.
