I was nodding and waving goodbye.
And that my family had tears in their eyes.
As I sail away on this fine ship.
I knew I was in for a long, long trip.
We where moving toward the Pacific Coast.
And as we pulled the anchor in it was no time to boast.
As we sailed West, I looked at the ocean floor.
No shrimp where found, and my spirit was sore.
Then I saw the storm, I said to my crew
,''Don't let the tragedies get you down"
I moved towards the middle of the storm.
The safest place where we could warm.
When we got to the middle the storm was clearing out.
But we had to go back, because there were storms about.
On the way back, we hit a gold mine.
Shrimps in numbers, the quality was fine.
And we where going home, semi-rich boys.
Just playing with the boat, and other toys.
