*Please give me good critiques...because the publishers aren't giving me enough of it. -.-' A reminder: Not all poems have to rhyme. ^_^*
The monster.
I am sitting here
hanging upside down on the ceiling
I am the chandelier
left staring
with this colorful gift you gave me
As leaves fly away to die
so does the touch upon these letters
buttons marked with words
too improper to speak
Speak like the push of the button
speak like the voice that dies on my lips
The monster does not await far
not far enough to delete my distance
and now he is above
and I can hear him, he's breathing in my every
Essence
and with every breath consumes me
He hates the way I am
and he tells me that there is not very much more
and the pieces left
the pieces left inside he will very soon
Devour
devour like he did before
and engulf the rest that I fought hard
brutally hard to bore
And I am sitting here again
hanging upside down on the ceiling
the blood rushing to my head
left staring
staring
staring and waiting
and taunted by
this colorful gift you gave me.

- Brilliant. There are parts that are either confusing or misspelled or in the wrong context. I've reread a few times and I'm sure it's one of the three. line 25, eg.
