• Behold another tale of glory,
Though now just another dusty story.
A story of heroes and dreams,
Legends of brave knights and their queens.

The tale begins again at "once upon a time,"
This time, maybe even at an inn.
Then it ends with classic blissful happiness,
And nothing more past the first kisses.

    The princess's chastity was saved,
And for her hero and their love the people raved.
Good people in rags bask in a gentle moment in the royalty's golden air,
But some of them for jealousy never care.

In the middle of this tale sweet melodies ring in your ears,
Festivals, kings, and victories alike bring out your cheers.
The food is delicious and looks lovely,
And even the dragons in peace visit monthly.

Yet intertwined in the characters' fates
There is an evil that always awaits.
In their throne of fear and darkness
Carefully planning new chaos and their hero's losses.

    The henchmen are so stupid,
They will even wait for a cupid.
To theirself the mastermind did complain,
And wondered if they'd really chosen someone insane.

    Just before the very end
The world and its people did our hero defend.
The villain was defeated and the curse broken
The bad guy's words of revenge and the princess's hand is the token.

There the darkness can be told,
But only for the twisted hearts to truly behold.
    The light is crystal clear,
And because of our heroes we exude hope, not fear.

Yet all fairytales must come to and end,
The truth revealed though our childish hearts will never mend.
    The book set down,
    Like a dead king's crown.

    Stories are never real,
And our innocence will others always steal.
    Purity here is insignificant,
When love is of convenience for those who are truant.

Chastity and virginity never keep in this time,
For sex out of marriage is a legal crime.
Just ask any kid who's parents split and divorced,
And if they tell you why, don't just say "of course."

You see, life is a horror and a pain,
Much more on our dear souls than a stain.
Still our lives have no guarantee
That in "The End" to heaven's door we'll have the key.

Those who dream of adventures and battles,
Are always offset by those who'd rather work cattle.
After all, not many anymore dare to dream,
And they close those gaps with anger bursting at the seams.

Then there are those who wish for long lives or short,
And others who want to be power's consort.
But in the end it's all the same,
We can reflect and see how much of our lives held only shame.

Yet through all of this we are still human,
A victim of the fiddler and piper's tunes until we discover the scam.
Unlucky are the ones who die before knowledge of life's lies,
Then again are they who can only cry.

And of course there are some lucky where others are not,
And some who cannot see their dying loved ones before the grave lot.
Yet for all this unpredictability and variety,
Life has just one goal for all of society.
