The earth has shook
Like pawns we fall
Few remain still tall
To the heights we look
___
Shells of dark leaves firmly stand
Divide serene and turmoil
Overcast hands cover the soil
Surrounding the last pure tip
Auburn shields sprout modern man
Deceitful soldiers are closing in
Violet power within faded skin
Floods a vein soon to rip
Can your eyes slowly dim?
Is the truth not born
Lying beneath thorns?
Can your grip let go?
Is that rope just rust
Slowly crumbling to dust?
Ruin, or a path of whim
A starlit crest showers healing snow
Ready for one last crusade
The smallest dart can kill
A retreat against your will
Enter realms deep in thought
The stillness here stops all blades
Summit, forever impregnable
Explore what was behind a curtain
Recall what was once forgot
Can your eyes...
Hold the ground within mystic clouds
Where the once crestfallen meet
Sincere valor will scatter the crowds
Where the forest falls to heat
Can your eyes open again?
Do the lies of thorn
Fall under the rising morn?
Will your grip never break?
Is that rope more than rust
Slowly forming again from dust?
On the snow-capped mountain
The ivory seat you must take

- Title: Starlit Crest
- Artist: ArcVoyageur
- Description: Fifth song I've written. The chorus is a bit weird and I'd really appreciate any advice on changing it.

- Hm. I'm not sure what to think of this one. It's interesting, it has good similes and metaphors in it, and the images are really powerful and strong. It just... lacks something holding it together, I think. Overall, some plainer language mixed in might help people really understand the song.
