• Silence, love, fear
    These things we cannot hear
    But their influence is great
    They order, direct, dictate.

    Tear streaming down your cheeks,
    Are you sad my dear?
    Or rather are you joyful,
Relieved that the bad has passed?

    Cheery, untroubled, calm
These feelings act as a balm,
    An ointment on sorrow,
    A mother’s comfort, an aloe.

    All these feelings have meaning
    In this great big world,
    They have actions and reactions,
    And shape who we are.
