Nothing's changed but,
I'm crawling on my knees for,
The second time today.
And for the second time today;
The sky is burning in the south,
Lazy Johannesburg where my lover used to stay.
The flames lick the hearts of the black and white,
I'm stuck for words to say,
I'm stuck for words to say.

unicorn-luver, you've totally failed to see the brilliance of this poem. As Sunafire rightly said: "Quality not quantity"- less is definately more here.
I love the contrast of colour here and the purposefully truncated last lines.
This really makes you think, which I think is the sole pupose of a poem besides adding a bit more beauty in the form of words to the world. biggrin - Report As Spam
