A girl; She wears a white nightgown.
Hands dangling at her sides,
Fear streaked across her face.
The wide and curious eyes of a child.
Her toes curling into the ground.
The shadows of her face complete her expression.
Her eyes are pools of black.
Not just the pupils, but the entire eye.
So scratch child, more like- thing.
She stares down the hall;
What fear could be at this monster's fingertips?
At a doorway rolls a puddle of deep red.
A hand peeking out of the frame.
Very feminine, with a wedding ring and painted nails.
The beast walks down that hall towards the door.
"M-mommy?" Escape her lips;
As a wretched smile swipes her face.
An act? Of course.
Killer.
The knife used protruded from the mother's chest.
Dark hair hanging in the pale face of the murderer.
A child. How? Just a mere child.
Her father? He'll take the blame.
That girl is innocent of course; so they'll think.
But no, she did it.
After weeks and weeks of constant yelling.
Why didn't she know that child was a beast?
All black eyes. That's not normal.
But alive, they took the "baby" home.
Mommy just wanted to protect her,
That wasn't enough.
So now, out of her way,
It's daddy's turn.
