We used to be the best of friends,
Making jokes and meeting ends,
But we drifted away,
And there we stay,
Floating in the abyss,
Wihtout a miss,
You used to know me,
But now you won't show me,
The true you,
And how you do the stuff you do,
While we drift apart,
It breaks my heart,
To see me losing you,
You're drifting away,
And it will never be okay.
And I couldn't control myself,
Couldn't hold back
As slowly, slowly, you strayed from the pack,
We used to be like brothers,
Felt like we came from the same mother,
But now, we're further than ever,
Apart from each other,
In spirit and mind,
We're no longer the same kind,
I though I knew you,
I was wrong,
Thought you were my friend,
What went wrong?
Goodbye, my friend,
One day, this will end,
The pain, the suffering,
The constant wondering,
Of what went wrong and when it did,
As you put your heart up for highest bid,
And I watched you,
As you unfolded,
As you degraded, disentigrated,
And I wept for you,
I prayed for you,
But my prayers were not answered,
As you become another victim,
Of the spreading cancer.
And you took a misstep,
Took the wrong path,
And now it is all,
A part of the past,
Trying to erase you,
From my fond memories,
But I can never forget,
Never let,
Those memories escape me,
For if I do,
Then I'll be just the same as you,
Becoming part of the crowd,
So you fit in,
Not rememberin' where you did begin,
Here with your friends is where you should be
But I guess you just won't listen to me.
We used to be inseperable,
But that's memories now,
We used to act stupid,
Just to have fun,
But that was when,
You were the one,
The one I could turn to,
In my darkest hour,
The one I could cry with,
When I ran out of power,
But now my old friend,
You're no longer unique,
As you join with the sheep,
You're no longer a leader,
Of your own life,
What happened to,
That now useless strife,
To be yourself,
And not follow others,
We used to be friends,
We used to be brothers.
But now I don't know you,
You've become someone else,
Not and open book,
But closed on the shelf,
You're afraid to be you,
Cause you won't be cool,
Well, what's so cool bout bein cool,
When you're having no fun,
Letting someone else run,
What you do, how you speak,
As the ruler stands on the mountains peak,
But I've got news for you,
My once good friend,
One day that's all,
Gonna end,
And you'll be there all alone,
Wishing and hoping,
That we'll forgive you,
And what if we do,
You'll realize you're mistake,
But it'll be too late,
You chose your life,
So what'll it be,
Will you choose to be 'cool',
Or listen to me,
Cause life's all about the choices you make,
In this crazy world, it's give or take,
So what do you say,
My once good friend,
Will you listen to me,
And come back again?

Description:
Just a suckish poem I wrote in like five seconds. Understand that this story is not true, wll maybe to someone it is, but not me, I don't care if you hate it, I think it's my best work and that's what matters. Hopefully someone'll like it and who knows, maybe it'll even help someone one day. I am fairly new to writing poems, so rate truthfully and some constructive critisism may be good. Arigato!

- I think it's pretty good. Though the rhyming kinda seems forced. Try to make it flow better next time. Other than that it was great. Keep it up.
