Are all teens the same?
Do they all have a certain aim
An aim to die
Or an aim to live a lie
To be something they’re not
To loose their life and be forgot
Either by gun, knife or pill
Each of those thoughts just makes me ill
To think that they could just throw it away
Just so they wouldn’t have to live another day
Maybe they do it because they’re stressed
Or maybe they’re just plain old depressed
Sick of a life that isn’t fair
Feeling like their family doesn’t care
They live a life of neglect
All they want is a little respect
So that they have something to live for
So they feel at home in their very core
Instead they try to hide
Their different attempts at suicide
They hide the pain behind their eyes
So that it’s not so hard to cut the ties
So they can go in peace from this life
By using a gun, a pill or a knife

Description:
[READ PLZ]
This is a poem I wrote for a project in an English 11 class. It was inspires by a book called Impulse by Ellen Hopkins.
For those who haven't read this book, it's about 3 teens that have all in some form attempted suicides. Though that sounds sad, they all end up in an institute and become great friends and maybe more
Thanks to all, happy reading

- That was nice. It was a bit hard to read with the yellow, but not back.
