Just in Reach

• Description: Climbers such as people climbing mount Everous somtimes suffer from a condition know as sumit fever... no matter how sick or hurt or injuried they are they will continue climbing just so they can reach the top, not turning around even if it phisacally imposible for them to continue.... this is true but sad and i wrote this poem in dedication for these poor souls

I cannot hear my guid shouting
Telling me to turn around
I just keep on walking
Heading towards that snow mound

I want to reach the icy top
To shout and say I'm victor
But everyone say I have to stop
Saying I am at death's door

They say I cannot go to the peak
Saying I'm sick and I'll die
But oh! it's just in reach
And surely they're telling a lie

Now I lay on the snowy ground
No long able to laugh or frown
I just kept walking towards that peak
Now forever am I just in reach
