-
I stepped into the lobby,
And set down my bags as I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder,
it was her, but her soul was not there,
the eye shadow that warmed her face,
was now flowing over her soft cheeks,
along with her silent tears.
She looked so delecate,
so pale,
that if I were to lay my hand on her in comfort,
she would slowly fade away.
Without thinking, I spoke:
"Miss me?"
She looked at me, at my hollow words,
and stared so lowly at me,
as if she were to strike me.
She took me in her arms,
and held me close,
as she whispered in my ear:
"So Much"
She stepped back and reached into her pocket,
then handed me a crumpeled photo,
"But she does more"
