• They always say he's different, abnormal and alone
An aimless little wanderer with his head for a home
And always there around him, an impenetrable shell
Is he happy in there, or stuck in his own hell?

They think there's something wrong, look at his empty gaze
If left alone he'd probably stare into nothingness for days
They're watching him again, whispers that he can hear
Cruel comments and allusions like he isn't even there

Quite happy just to exist alone, and not to live for fun
He's quite content not to talk or share with anyone
Can't you leave him be, can't you see he's fine?
Do you have to know everything about him all the time?

Solace is found in darkness, and silence feeds his mind
As if the world has disappeared and left only him behind
Is this an inner glory that we also must discover
Or a dark and lonely solitude to be shared with no other?

The more they try to hold him, the more he breaks away
Always just a bit more distant than he was yesterday
Who could blame a lost boy who's imprisoned and undead?
He's fated himself to always be chained up inside his head.
