how does someone explain themselves
when no one truly understands
the pain they feel
is completely real
and no one lends a helping hand
how does someone say I love you
when their heart is as cold as ice
as hard as stone
numb to the bone
no one ever tried to be nice
how does someone crack a smile
when there is sorrow everywhere
the dying
the lying
as if no one will even care
how does someone do all these things
it is quite simple really
they're insecure
never sure
which seems okay to me
