-
They crossed the line;
they went too far,
and both said words
that will leave scars.
His words uncalled for;
hers for revenge.
The war has started,
but when will it end?
Is all now lost?
We soon will know.
Their hearts once ablaze
are now covered in snow.
And the innocent peace and calm
has turned into disaster.
You almost have to ask
is this what they were after?
Both sides draw swords
neither backing down.
Smiles have quickly faded.
Faces now twisted in a frown.
You can't tell right now,
how much they really care.
Yet they must fight,
it really isn't fair.
It shouldn't have to be like this
they fight till one has won.
Not soldiers but the battle
can't stop until they're done.
But even when it's finnished
the resentment still lives on.
They won't speak for weeks.
Fate sings her sorrowful song.
Egos wounded hearts broken,
they refuse to cross the line.
Forgivness not an option
till the other shows a sign.
The wounds run deep.
They won't be forgotten.
But brought up the next time,
even thought these fights are not often.
These two warriors fight
with out skipping a beat.
Striking killer blows
with never having to meet.

- Title: Our Battle
- Artist: Murasaki Ryu Chan
- Description: I once had a run in with a friend of mine that inspired this poem and another called 'Our Love'. We had a love-abuse relationship with each other and would always banter with each other and sometimes we'd go too far with it.
