gentle tears streaming down my crying face
pulling myself from the salty lake of sorrow
the gentle breeze caressing my soaking hair
as another gentle tear manages to leave my heartbroken cheek

I stare at the dewdrops with my now bittersweet tears
and watch as the leaves gently shake the bitterness from their backs
I think of your smiling face once more
and vow never to cry again.
