-
Woe was the people,
but with a strange calm.
For they were all safe.
Thanks to the nameless stranger.
Some called out,
some had cried.
When their town had burned down,
and their treasures scorched.
But now the worst is over.
The storm has passed.
Once fear in their eyes,
now to a savior, they owed debt.
But the stranger took leave.
Into more dangers
The towns people called out,
"Don't you value your life?"
The stranger replied,
without hesitation,
"I do not truly love my life,
for in the end it will leave me,
and who wants a broken heart?"

- Description: This is a poem T made at the time of submission, it was based of a phrase that I made up a long time ago, which is at the bottom. I know, it kinda sucks, my best work is done at school.

- It is an interesting piece, but I would suggest you work on the meter. The last phrase is thought provoking though so I will give you a 4/5.
