With my bare feet on the solid ground
That’s where I stand and where I’m bound
Facing upwards to the night sky
Watching falling stars fly by
My attention goes to one single star
While thinking of where you now are
Thinking of how special it would be
If you were looking at the same star as me
With my bare feet on the solid ground
I close my eyes and listen to the sound
Feeling calm with no sign of fear
Just the wind, whispering softly in my ear
I hear your voice as if you’re standing next to me
But I keep my eyes closed cause I know there is nothing to see
I let my mind go and softly smile
Because I know your voice will be real in a while
With my bare feet on the solid ground
I think about the things I still have not found
Searching for the missing soul, my other part
Helping me towards the destiny of my heart
With my feet on the earth that is always here
But I won’t easily notice when you are near
So I burry my feet in the sand and just stand still
Waiting for you to come and my dreams to fulfil

Description:
I write a lot of poems. This one is a little bit about longing for true love. I think some people will be able to find themselves in this poem.
I hope you all like this one - Date: 01/11/2009

- Beautifully written. I love the imagery. It's sad...but sweet at the same time. I wrote a similar piece for someone once, 'cept it was about the moon. Good work! 5/5

- I like it, a lot. There are one or two typographical errors, (burry vs. bury, cause vs. Because or even 'cause, fulfil vs. fulfill) but it's really very nice. I like how the poem is centered about how the earth seems to be the only real thing in the poem, the longing for love being manifested as pure, untainted hope and a sense of knowledge that one day it will come.
