Full moon’s light
Reaches
From a thin curtain
Of clouds
Revealing the ruins
Of a once beautiful city
Destroyed
Broken
By disaster
Chaos
The earth
Stained crimson
By the blood
Of thousands slaughtered
The air tainted
By the foul stench
Of death
Fire
Still burning
Fighting
To erase what’s left
And one man
Stands before me
Crimson eyes
Crazed
Staring
I wake screaming
Just a dream
