Stalingrad

• Description: This is a poem i made up a few years ago, I write mainly poems about war and i generally find that my best work Doesn't stop the ideas just keep flowing and i have to eventually just stop writing... This was one of these occassions

laying down in the mud the grit and the muck,
they said boy does this suck,
laying down here waiting for the call,
awaiting for one of them to get shot and fall,

The call goes out to "Fire at will",
man this takes alot of skill,
you look up and see,
the snipers and you want to flee,

you try to run but your winter suit holds you back,
awaiting for the blitzkrieg attack,
your back is sore your feet are too,
you want to run you really do.

This is something i made up when i was 13 in 2 minutes. And FYI. it says "Waiting for the blitzkreig attacks" Its doesn't acctually say they happened.

2/5 because of failure to reasearch... stalingrad was the turning point in the eastren side of europe... and they failed to blitzkrieg in stalingrad... and it is WWII in which stlingrad takes place...
