I looked down the hall, and there I could see, the same thing I see right after math.
The girl by wall, a group of girls made of three, blocking her only path .
She was standing there yelling curses and blames, while the others continued to mock.
Looking right to me, she looked right at my face, and my eyes refused to lock.
....
I didn't say anything.
Then came the teacher, who broke up the flight, and sent them on their way.
Acted as preacher, and based on the sight, assumed there's not much to say.
The girl rubbed her eyes, and cursed them all out, the others leaving the scene of the rave.
Walking on past me, her fists clenched in rage, her eyes asking why I didn't try to save.
....
I didn't do anything.
I've been that way, I've felt the pain, I've felt that feeling before.
I knew what to say, but there was nothing to gain, so instead I chose to ignore.
That girl standing there, with her face red with shame, while she was roughed up by ring,
I could have stepped in, moved them along, but I chose to avoid the whole thing.
....
It wasn't my problem.
The whole stupid way, the whole thing ran, I knew my way around.
But knowing what to say, and knowing the plan, my eyes simply fell the ground.
I chose to be blind, I chose to not care, I decided it wasn't a big problem to be dealt.
But every time I saw that girl again, I only slightly remembered how she felt.
She heard me say nothing.
She saw me do nothing.
She grasped that it wasn't my problem.
And it's happened before. And it happened again. It happened later.
That the bystander saw it all.
And she was alone with that person standing next to her. Saying nothing. Doing nothing. Feeling nothing... As she looked for help.
I don't know if I'll remember her.
But I had a feeling... she'll remember me.
The bystander saw it all. And did nothing.

Description:
While I'm not in school and this is not entirely based off of a personal experience, I remember enough from when I *was* in school, so I could write a poem on something that still applies today, and that I'm sure is still going on. The image used was gotten off a photo search, and I felt it was the perfect image to use for reference. Please vote and comment fairly. I love comments, and I ask that criticism be constructive if need be.
Thanks a lot, everyone~! - Date: 12/11/2008
