  Too late, I already said the words, and she walked away, not saying another word. I can't tell if I did the right thing...Why...

Gently, I stare out into the abyss,
Unwary of this solid stare,
I stand up,
She stays put,
I lean down,
And whisper to her clear.

She seems surprised I said that,
After waiting for so long.
I'm not denying it anymore,
I'm sure I wasn't wrong.

She remotely stared at me,
Befuddled at those simple words,
When lightning coarsed through the air,
A flash,
She was no longer there.

Dumbfounded as I was,
I had lost something so dear,
Because I took the chance,
The words I spoke
Provoked but a dreadful tear.

i realy liked this & im srry u lost ur best friend!!! i think u did the right thing, u told he how u felt, but she prob regrets wat she said now but idk there r other girls' i hope u find the right one! biggrin
