Dark and deep as the oceans lowest depths, this color shows the calm yet sad nature that lurks within.
Judge it not by the hue it shows, or by the shade it cast, for Navy Blue can also show knowledge.
Not as wise as silver or sagely as green, Navy Blue has knowledge in character and emotion.
It can not be confused with Midnight Blue; it lacks the deeper intrigue and romance, but not True Blue either, as its soul is much darker.
Navy; good, not evil, as darkness can mostly be judged as, it reflects the serenity in the world.
As with the swirling tides, its emotions can turn, but where the light cannot shine, happiness cans till be found.
Dark and deep as the oceans lowest depths, this color reflects darkness and sorrow; yet it also shows calmness and serenity, as well as an understanding of the world around it.

Description:
A short poem I wrote for the Southern Nevada Writing Association's "Writer's Fair" back in February of 08. We were told to find a color that fit us and then write a short poem about it. I got a little carried away with mine.
