Eons have passed. And none have come to hold it.
Fakers have come. But all they've done is hurt it.
Once upon a time...it would've loved, blindly.
The end. Is there no such thing as LOVE,
Of the unconditional kind...?
Unrequited love,
Forbidden love,
Love left unspoken.
Love left it broken.
She, him, they, us.
It's a hurtful emotion.
That none can LIVE without.
Love flourishing from violent roots.
Love growing from nurtured beginnings.
There's so many kinds of love,
Puppy love, the kind for YOUTH.
Lust, it's a one night life.
Unrequited is never returned.
Unconditional, have we not earned it.
A carnal urge blinds you,
A feral desire, 'tis not love.
Yet we must learn it.
We must FEARLESSLY live it.
And within it's grasp it holds the key.
Rusted, from the ages passed.
And what space would this key fill,
It is left damaged and BROKEN,
from those who thought to own it.
Never left in peace,
For many wish to break it,
but the door to this precious heart
Would never open for it, who is not WORTHY.
Like a warrior the owner must pass through harsh feats
Fight through battles with fierce determination
Never let that aspiration leave it's eyes.
To love, is my PURPOSE.

A piece of poetry written from the heart.
If you read closely and pay attention, you can barely notice the change from Pessimism to Optimism. - Date: 08/13/2008
