I smiled at a scenic sky as I stood on my balcony, ninth level from the ground, holding a martini in my hand.
I pulled myself up onto the railing, and, as I sat down silently, I felt the compassionate wind drift through my body.
The acute sound of a car’s horn pierced through my ears.
The last taste of the martini bled down my throat.
Escaping from my clasp, the wineglass broke down towards Earth’s rocky bottom.
My lips formed a detached look of concern.
The glass splattered across the city street.
Deciding it was my time to go; I lifted my body from off the railings and jumped.
I landed on my balcony and walked back inside.
