• I stand in the middle of a field of white.
    I watch the snow fall around me.
    Oh how the snowflakes glitter,
    like diamonds at night.
    I hear the soft crunching of snow.
    You wrap your arms around me.
    You comment that it's cold out,
    I should come inside.
    I smile and continue to watch the sky.
    You ask me what I'm looking at.
    I respond without looking away that
    I'm looking at the falling stars.
    I feel you rub your face against my neck.
    I feel you smile.
    Now I comment that there are
    two stars I don't see.
    I lift my hand and start to
    caress the side of your face.
    You mumble into my neck.
    I turn my face to look at you.
    I ask you what you said.
    You move your lips to my ear and say,
    They're there, they're just hiding.
    I reply that you're right.
    I kiss the corner of your mouth.
    You tilt your head just enough
    for our lips to touch.
    We break off and you open
    your eyes.
    I smile and say not anymore.
    You smile and hold me tighter.
    I feel your warmth surround me.
    I feel myself losing to the darkness.
    Sleep consumes me where I stand.
    I feel you craddle my body against you.
    I am happy cause I know
    that you will always be
    my guiding star.
