Oh now,
Whenn the chill is invited
Into the world
The trees around me do weep
For loss of their leaves
Which fall away
Discarded on the ground
They weep for the loss
Of the birds
Who in their branches once did sleep
And left behind
Their empty nests
In which life was started
Witnessed by the tree
Alas I mourn
for those poor trees
Who are left alone
To bear
Winters' freeze

well the girl underneath me says it all.
need i say more??
yes i like the way it looks.
yes the "look" feels authentic which is why i liked it in the first place
plus it is short and you say so much.
good poems are short and powerful.
(but yours needs a little kick)
