Never Known
I do not see you
too young to recall.
Longing for the embrace
that will never come.
The memories that are lost
and those that shall never be.
I have lost you…
You have lost me…
How I wish you were here
to never leave…
How I wish to see your
face…to feel your embrace.
To squeeze out the winter chill
and finally make me feel.
And truly you will never
be known by me.
I blindly seek the memories
of others, never to have my own.
How I wish you could guide my lost soul.
I will never know you…
You will never know me…
And so, will you always be like me…
Never Known.

- Title: Never Known
- Artist: cronoses13
- Description: This poem tells the story of how one can be affected by the death of a certain person who he/she did not even truly know...one who is unwittingly exposed to the fabrications and cruelty of death's embrace of the person who was not known, yet would have been constant in his or her life. It creates a certain longing that can not be sated and a void which perhaps can never be filled.
