The Philosophy of Humantics and the Theory of Moderation
---There are several very important understandings to the Humantic Man, one of them being Selective Apathy, which in truth, falls under the following theory. Beyond this concept of course, is another, just as equally important concept, named the Theory of Moderation.
---Anything is dangerous in excess. Anything at all. The sugars that keep us active and build and store energy makes us overweight and rots our teeth. The water that keeps us hydrated, if drank too much while exercising, gives us cramped muscles, or in general, makes us nauseous.
---Just as it is physically, it is mentally, too. Certain reactions, emotions, or mindsets are only useful and indeed intelligent to use in moderation. It is illogical to be arrogant in something you do not practice vigorously, or act so in the company of someone in power. Caution is not cowardice and is not fear, after all. Everything falls under this theory. Compassion, hatred, love, humor, strength, weakness, respect, disrespect, human qualities and inhuman qualities both. Everything is situational, because life is made of situations.
---It requires a certain amount of true intelligence to understand when and where to use each of these mindsets. These things are judgment calls and one needs good judgment.
---The Philosophy of Humantics is the Study of Human Meaning, and Human Meaning, just as any creature's life's meaning, is to validate one's existence. As I've said before the human creature validates its existence through its intelligence.
---So you see why the Theory of Moderation is important, with Human Meaning residing in the use of intelligence, and the Theory of Moderation being the mindset geared towards intelligence.
