• Why do people use profanity? I see profanity as a disease that is working itself into the human body and polluting us from the inside. Every day I hear words that insult people in a horrible manner and all the other person does is use profanity to counter it.

Is this the resolution that we all come to when confronted with this monstrosity of unethical behavior? The power to put all others down only by swearing?

Time after time I hear these words being used for insulting a person or someone in a person's family. I know that nobody likes these words used against them, so why should they use them? Why when peope hear another person call someone the "B" word, in response that other person will either say the "B" wordback or say something more insulting? This is how arguments happen and later fights happen. This is crazy.

Some people use these words just for the enjoyment but these aren't words that should be played or toyed around with. I am not saying insulting people is right, but in the dictionary there are a vast amount of words that are available to you with which a person can insult another person. For example, instead of calling a person any one of these ridiculously inappropiate words, try and calling them something they might not understand or even know. That will make them look foolish and your job is done.

If that person, in response, calls you some word from the profanity dictionary, just say "I bet you still don't know what I called you, do you?" Most people will just have a blank stare on their face trying to figure that word out or say "Shut up" or "You're an 'A'" because they don't know it. And all you have to say is "Yeah, I thought so." Then all you have to do is ignore that person and that person will just tire out of insluts and leave you alone or you will leave that person.

So, I ask once more why do we use all these words that can have an immense impact on how people feel? Can you answer this question? Can people change their vocabulary and use words besides profanity? Can people change themselves for the better and stop using these words? All of these questions are waiting to be answered.
