• Hello my name is Detective Robin Taylor, I'm writing this blog because I want to.

    You know, I love to read. Its my hobby really. I read Articles, books, comics, manga and yes even fanfiction. I go online to read some make believe story that has nothing to do with the original plot of a series I like be it anime or book, but none the less I enjoy reading good stories.... what I don't like is the fanfic's that are obviously a poor souls pathetic attempt to make a much loved show/movie/series/anime/book into a smut infested, worse then a dirty sailor's swearing, obviously inspired while on crack attempt at writing! I have no say what so ever in a persons creative way of thinking. But if you have to write a fan-fiction, then do it as accurately as possible to the original plot. If you didn't like the original plot, fine then. Just make one up so we won't have to deal with you're annoying nagging. But make it believable, entertaining, and learn how to spell things correctly.

    I'm sure you're all wondering :"What is up with this chick b*@#hing about fanfictions?" Well I'm glad you asked. If you didn't, then I'll explain anyway.

    Fanfictions can be either a show/movie/series/anime/book's ultimate compliment or its worst nightmare. Usually something in between. Why? Well, most fans do come up with well written stories about they're favorite couple, they're favorite character's past, and maybe even what the future may hold. Some turn out better then the series ending. I'll explain with a fanfic I once read about the show Kim Possible. I read a very amazing piece of literature that I haven't been able to find for a while because I can't remember the name. But I do remember that by the time I had finished reading it the new Kim Possible movie So the Drama had just came out. After reading the fanfic I watched the movie and while I did think it was cool, I was slightly disappointed. I mean, I loved the fanfiction's ending so much I couldn't help but wonder "is this going to happen? No it didn't" If I can remember the name I'll try to post the link. Anyway, the writers story was so good, the fans of the show said they liked it more then the movie which btw, was suppose to be the series end. SO basically, there are good fanfictions out there, but not as many as there should be.

    Then there's the very well written fanfictions with a good plot and great dialogue... but it mostly turns out to be a smut fic. Let me explain with the much loved series of Transformers. Anyone and I mean anyone who has been to fanfiction.net knows all to well about what I'm talking about. People just love to write very creepy descriptive sex scenes between two or even creepier three of their favorite Transformers. And what with mostly all of them being guys, you can imagine what happens. What I don't understand is how is it even possible? They're all robots, they don't have genders! They don't have the same stuff as we do. And yet time and time again people keep making these up, secretly hopong that it will be canon one day. Not going to happen! And the few, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say straight, fanfiction's about them out there are just as well written and stuff, but just as smut infested. What part of robots are asexual and don't have genders don't they understand? I've got nothing against robots looking like guys or girls but please, I'm not interested in robots doing the dirty.

    Speaking of asexual characters...

    Who here likes DB/DBZ? Raise your hand if you do. Almost everyone right? Well, lets talk about my favorite character from that franchise, none other then the green alien himself: Piccolo. Now as any fan would know Piccolo is a namek, who is from a race a green aliens, who can create the Dragonballs, and who are all asexual. Wait! What was that last part again? Oh yeah... asexual. Meaning he doesn't have it or anything else. Now I'll admit I didn't know that Piccolo was without that at the start. I mean, he's a guy, so I just assumed. Then the Namek saga came about and Dende explained to everyone how Namek's had kids: they spat out eggs. OK, whatever. I mean, c'mon Piccolo's still badass right? Well... most fans didn't take that to well. So most of them came up with these stupid excuses for Piccolo to have it. Like...

    1.) He was born on earth so he addapted to make himself more like the earthlings!
    2.) He can just use his super powers to grow one!
    3.) I am against canon! I will do as I please because I'm a Piccolo fan and his future wife blahblahblah


    You get the gist. So yeah, most fans made disturbing fanfictions that had him shipped with various characters or OC's. Let's make a list of the most popular characters Piccolo's been shipped with the most...

    1.)Gohan (most popular. They even have a kid(s)) ewwwww
    2.)Goku (but of course)
    3.)Various OC's (they're usually not so bad.. when they're not mary-sues.)
    4.)Kami (you don't want to know where I saw this! I didn't even want to know.) ><
    5.)Chichi (oddly enough people likes this ship) o_0


    So they're you have it. Only one list of who crazy fans ship poor Piccolo with. Hasn't he suffered enough?

    All right. I'm out of time but I will continue this little rant-a-thon as it were much later. I haven't begun to scratch the surface. Next, but not in this exact order will be about crossovers, an entire page long paragraph of a story and how these creepy little shippers will hang you, gut you and leave a flaming pile of dog crap on you if you so much as give constructive criticism on a story.
