the funeral of Shade Redfox

• Description: this was part of a book i was working a while back called "Legends Of Longview". it was about a fox furry on a quest to to save his mother from demons. but in the end he dies trying to save his mother, but sadly failed because his friend that was helping on the quest betrayed him, and this is the ending of the book where the people burn his body and his brother he didnt know he had was to pick up where he left off.

as the priests of the Heaven City walked slowly to the pedestal with my brother in his casket, the people of Heaven city bowed their heads as my brother passes by them. the only sound you could hear was the sound of the rain falling, and distant thunderclaps. as the priests came up to the pedestal, the guards stood at attention. they lifted up Shade and placed him on the pedestal that was surrounded with sticks to burn his body. i started to drop a few tears as the priest spoke:



"we are here to burn longview's greatest hero. we will all remember Shade as the hero that banished the dark lord of Chaos City to the shadow realm so that he shall never rise again. however there is a new threat to Longview. Shade was an orphan when he started to train at the guild he was raised at. Shade had no parents, nor brother nor sister. but then out of the shadow came a relative known as Tac."



it was the hardest thing i ever had to do, but i took the torch and set my brother on fine. then the chorus started to sing as i rested on one knee with my brother sword in my hands.



"dont worry brother" i managed to sob out. "i will find Shadow...and i will make him pay!"



as the smoke started to pick up, i saw Shade's spirit lift from his body and swirl around me. then flew up to the heavens, leaving me to start to where he left off,



so i said with fire in my heart, and squeezed my brothers sword



"i will find you, and kill you for betraying my brother Shadow!"
