The gray haired male sat quietly on the floor, staring at something in his hands. "Oi," He jumped and looked back at the door, finding a dark red haired male, a coworker
"What?" The other just stood there, a bored looking expression on his face "What?" If he was in wolf form his fur would've raised. Perhaps his hair raised slightly.
"You have something." The wolf in Human form, Frey, blinked. It was almost scary how the other seemed to always know things like this
"What of it?" He quietly put the object on the floor between his legs. The other moved from the doorway and watched him, thinking
"You don't need weapons." Frey growled lowly, though he was sure the green eyed coworker had heard it. Why did the other look at him like that? He looked uninterested, yet as if he knew all about what was going through your head, which was impossible. Only Charna could do that.
He couldn't get off track, the kid in front of him could take advantage of that. No, not a kid. The gray haired male didn't know what to call him. He looked at the teenager, who hardly acted like he was the age he looked.
Frey looked down at the floor, almost ashamed "I know." The red head nodded, though the gray haired male didn't see
"What is it?"
"Don't you know? You run the security around here." He heard the other let out a breath, almost a sigh
"Blythe won't be happy." Frey scoffed and turned back to the revolver on the floor
"So?"
"Why?" He stopped, thinking. There wasn't a time he could remember when he hadn't thought and felt like this.
"You wouldn't get it."
"Really." Fur bristled again. The other had such a simple way of speaking it was frustrating.
"You weren't born an animal."
"No. But I'm not 'normal' either." Frey growled and moved, a now gray furred arm rushing inches away from the other's head to slam an equally animal looking hand into the wall
"How would we know? You've never said a thing about where you're from, Zack!" The red head just looked at him, unfazed
"It doesn't matter who or what you are, as long as you get the job done." Amber eyes blinked then lowered to the floor
"I feel like a monster…"
"You haven't attacked any of us or bystanders, have you?"
"Not yet,"
"Then you're not a monster."
"But-" Frey looked back up
"No. It doesn't matter. There's no reason for anyone to question what you are as long as you keep them safe and get the job done." The wolf stepped back, thinking
"Yeah… Thanks."

Description:
"A Persuasive Agruement."
These are two characters I'm trying to get a better feel for. Pretty much the rift keepers are a group of people who are trying to keep the worlds from collapsing in on each other. And if you'd be so kind, could you leave a topic/situation for me to write another couple in?
Ok, not "couple" as in "lovers," but another two.
Maybe I should just shut up.... - Date: 04/19/2012
