Light’s twinkled across the room, Sari’s sight blurred from her deep sleep. Hands crept up from under the sheets as they met with her eye lids. They rubbed them slowly, her eye’s opening back up as she stared off at the ceiling. A few dim lights flickered above her; a sign of further repairs that were needed on this ship. She eased, up yawning and scratching her hair; the cool air giving her naked flesh goose bumps. She reached over grabbing a black tank top and her tattered pants. Having clothed herself to her liking she eased her way out of bed, her feet connecting with the cold metallic surface below. She moved from her room, her fingers tracing along the wall of the hallway as she entered into the cockpit of her ship. She fell into her chair slinging it around and looking at her fuel gauge. A fourth remained inside the cores. This caused her to grunt with displeasure brining her head down onto the console. Her small fingers flipped over a few switches and pushed several buttons causing the ship to hum slowly to life, her docking clamps releasing from a small asteroid she had landed on. “Another shot at finding a scraped ship.” Sighing as the words crept out from her mouth like snakes trying the slither away from the light. She leaned back kicking her feet up onto the console, her hand playing with the joy stick the other feeling around for a nutron-injector. She closed her eyes humming a Sylric melody as she took the nutron-injector with her right hand and jammed it into her left arm, sending its nutrient rich nectar into her body. She continued humming as she simply tossed the injector aside; her focus now to the ships scanner. It had detected a small string of abandoned ships in the area. She jumped over to the screen, bliss in her eyes. Her right hand naturally began to calibrate the scanner brining up a list of readings from the ship. Her finger stopped the scan and focused on one item. “Finally!” She grinned as finding a salvageable fuel core was golden in this age.
Her ship was an old battered trader’s vessel turned private yacht in the fringes of space. She worked for whatever Yazik’s she could get her hands on. After all a girl of her standings had finer tastes than most ever wished they could have. She had suited up and began the process of loading the fuel cores in when she spotted something of curiosity. A small silver crate floated in the back of the abandoned ship. Her curiosity guided her over to it, her hands eagerly gripping to its sides. Her trained eye’s spotted the locking system that guarded its contents. Whoever owned this silver box, took great care to guard its contents. She smiled having successfully taken the contents of the gutted ship aboard hers. “Now let’s see if mama can crack this puppy.” She grinned, her tongue sticking out the side of her mouth as she worked hard on getting this locking system disabled. A low dying chime gave her note that she had successfully deactivated the device. Grinning with hunger in her mind, she threw the top open. The glimmer in her eyes faded away as a small useless data-key was the sole item inside. She picked it up, disgust solely fuelling her hate towards this item. Shrugging it off, she placed it into her data-pad as she leaned back, an arm wrapping around her legs, her bare feet tickled by the cold air in her ship. Her eyes and free hand played the game of cat and mouse with the device’s security and fire wall systems. Having made short work of the latter, her eyes quickly filled themselves with the goal of pouring through the meaningless documents. Her eyes spotted several references to launch codes, an operation with the code name of VLAS-661, and a Yazik reward of 6.5 Nylizk. Her eyes widened, drool slightly forming at the side of her mouth. She jumped up squealing with joy as she brought the data-pad to her chest. “This will finally give me time to pay of Davik! Not to mention spruce up my ship!” She smiled skipping off from her room and into the cockpit as she sat in the seat, quickly activating the fuel cores and spinning up the sub-space drives. She knew she had to do some research on this matter. She knew where she had to go to find this information. As much as she would hate this trip, she knew it was the key to her financial success.
Her small frame was slammed up to the metal walling knocking off several picture frames, “Come on, can’t a girl ever get a break?” Her words were spoken in a soft alluring tone. She laughed under her breath as she was tossed into a chair facing a darkened area of the room. Her hands struggled against the binder cuffs that had been placed on her. With a pout and a slouch she stopped her fight against the cuffs. “Trex, come on! I told you, that’s all I have!” The darkness gave way to a man sitting behind a desk, his fingers interlocked as he stared out a window. “You have your body, why don’t you put that to use? Besides the information you’re asking of me. Let’s just say it will run you into a place and position you do NOT want to be in.” She drew a nasty look in his direction at both accounts of his response. She cocked back her head sighing a bit. Sari knew Trex and if money was involved, he would be very reluctant to say anything. She closed her eyes then looked back to him. “I’ll split it with you. Fifty-fifty?” She asked hoping this offer would peak his interest. Trex's composure neither faltered nor twitched. “Sixty-forty and I will provide the information you need free of charge.” She looked at him in shock as she sat back, biting her lip, “I guess this girl will just have to settle for that.” She grinned as Trex nudged his head as his bodyguard removed the cuffs. “The files will be sent to your ship and Sari, if you so much as double cross me…”Sari waved her hand, the other tracing the walls of the hallway, “I know, I know, you’ll put my head on public display.”
