The night was dark and depressing. The clouds rumbled slightly, I closed my eyes as I tried to picture the multiple dew gathering into rain as it fell down to earth. I smiled as it damped my hair and joined my own tears. I love the smell rain gives, the perfect night for any DNA traces to vanish as easy as it had appeared. Who would have thought a young girl could have killed three men a few moments ago. I wonder what happened to me that changed everything, what made me change so differently less than one year ago? The memories flooded my mind, seeming to overcome everything. Why now of all places? I forced them out of my mind, I needed to focus on my reality. I took a deep breath and concentrated on my surroundings, I hear people wandering around central park not so far from me. “Damn it” I uttered. Why are there people out tonight, of all nights! I stared back at the bodies; they shouldn’t have gotten involved they were only drunk, mistaken. My hands trembled slightly as my vision blurred on the corners of my eye, I needed to leave now. I couldn’t change here, too much at risk. I walked down the path that I knew would lead me to 101 subway entrance. I didn’t understand why I ran there so quickly, I mean I had a hotel room waiting for me in the holiday inn. It had all of my equipment to help me survive. As I walked into the subway people turned and stared, why I thought. What did I do? Ha I thought who wouldn’t look? A fourteen year old shouldn’t walk around with a little plaid dress in heels, broken black knee-high socks with a bleeding cheek. My bruised arms and legs were smeared with dark faded blood. I touch my cheek finally noticing the pain it brought. A crowd gathered around me, their thoughts were unsure on what to think. Their thoughts were too much on my as my ears seemed to ring “ I guess my Coplay was too much?” I barely whispered. Few began to walk away laughing while others shook their heads in disapproval. Watching them leave my head wanted to scream. Why do people always react that way? Their so predictable, I exhaled loudly noticing the in change of the air. The trains pulled up making the air around me circulate with all the dirt. I thought of my father, where was he at my time of need? I walked silently as I took a seat near a young girl and a woman. Looking at them made me look right through their very souls, I quickly looked away. I don’t need to look into their minds besides it would end up with me passed out on the floor. Staring outside the thick scratched up window the tunnel rushed by in a blur. I wonder to where I am going to go. All of my items are in the hotel, what’s the point of the trip itself? I began to regret my whole idea of the trip, I was about to get off the next stop when I notice the young girl staring at me intensely. She smiled at me with her sharp teeth showing in the corners of her mouth, her eyes beginning to fade to a violet. The one and only word that manage to slip through my lips happens to relate one of my true feelings, “fantastic”. Why or how did they find me so quickly?
