Cynthia was terrified. Her hands trembled and shook violently, her breath slow. Her violent violet eyes were locked on the person in front of her. She took in every detail of that person, unable to do anything else but look at them. She was female, stood at maybe 6 feet tall, with waist length brown hair. She wore a long brown jacket over a thin gray t-shirt and short shorts. Her eyes were blue, her lips curved up in a smirk, and her expression predatory. It sent shivers down the young Cure's spine, and she wanted nothing more then to run. But something was stopping her. Or, more accurately, two someones.
The first was Tox, the person who gave light to her otherwise dark life. She laid off a little ways, bleeding and in pain. She had a huge gash in her side from a broad sword wreathed in blue lightening, a sword that was wielded by the same woman in front of her.
The second... The second was herself. Or, rather then just herself, a part of her, a dark alter ego. One born of self loathing and feelings of weakness and sadness. Her name was Sin, the embodiment of all of Cynthia's pent up rage and aggression. And from deep within the confines of her mind, Sin was speaking to her. She strung up webs of confidence and courage, in a voice finer then silk and sweeter then honey. "You know what you have to do, don't you?" She said, even though she was little more then a smoky grin and a sickly sweet voice in Cynthia's own mind.
"Yeah... I know what I have to do," Cynthia began, her words just as shaky as her hands, which were currently positioned behind her back, hovering over the dual holsters of her two guns, created and named by Toxic herself. Cerberus and Judgement, the only two Anit-Poison firearms in the entire world. "Then do it, love. All you have to do is draw your gun and seek revenge. Then we can save Toxic... You DO want to save her, don't you?"
Cynthia shook harder at the question, hands moving ever closer to her guns. "I want to save her..." "Louder dear, I don't think I caught that."
She gripped the black grip of the gun, feeling their weight and terrible power even while holstered. "I want to save her...!" "Come on, you can do better then that, can't you?"
With a howl, she ripped the guns from their holsters and pointed them at the Poison across from her, barely recognizing the smirk fall from her lips, smugness turning to fear... Before she just grinned again. "Cynthia, you're not an animal. Say the words, speak whats in your heart, and you will have all the power you'll ever need."
Cynthia's hands stopped shaking, and her breathing calmed. Her violet eyes were full of rage and anger, and held a glint of insanity in their depths. "I'm going to save her! But before I do, I'm going to rip you apart!"
The woman Poison across from her looked like she was laughing and her lips moved, but it didn't register to Cynthia. No, she was far to gone to hear what she said. All she could hear was Sin's laughter and praise. "There's a good girl! Now, put actions to the words. Tear that b***h apart. Show no mercy/"
Cynthia just nodded, jaw set, eyes locked on her target, her prey. Something inside her had snapped, and she could feel herself losing control over her emotions. She changed her stance, as did the Poison in front of her... And then she was gone. Dozens of gunshots filled the air, and the clash of metal on metal quickly followed... Then there was only the sound of a body hitting concrete.
All around them, shell casings littered the highway, and dark blood spatters were everywhere. The Poison was on the ground, blood rolling down her chin, hands wrapped around Cynthia's boot, which was currently pressed to the females throat. And all Cynthia did was stand over her, covered in the same dark blood that leaked from the woman below her. He gun was pointed at the womans forehead, finger tight on the trigger.
"Mmm,.. Cynthia, that was simply spectacular. Now, just finish her. Then Toxic can be saved. Just pull the trigger and end this b***h."
There was silence, and it hung thickly in the air, just like the scent of blood. "No." Cynthia said eyes slowly returning to their usual purple, no anger or hatred in their depths. "I'm not like you Sin."
And with that, she released the wounded Poisons throat... Only to kick her hard in the side of the head, knocking her unconscious. "But I'm not the weak little girl who gets pushed around, either."
Sin, however, stayed silent. For once, she had nothing to say on the topic of violence and killing. Cynthia walked towards the half conscious body of Toxic, holstering her guns as she walked. It wasn't until she was crouching down that Sin spoke up. "You're right, Cynthia. You're not like me," Cynthia could see a smirk flash in her minds eyes. "That's why you need me. Because you aren't like me." And then her voice dissolved into a loud cackle before vanishing all together.
