Dr. Doc's Journal Entry #16March 8, 2010
tab "Change of plans. You're living with Justin Woods." It didn't take long for these "plans" to change. Just 30 minutes.
tab "Why the sudden change?" Mr. Powers took a deep breath, and let out,
tab "I recently got a cellphone call from Justin, demanding that I give you to him. I could not refuse his demands." I wasn't going to question why he couldn't. I wasn't even going to ask about why Justin wanted me or anything like that. No, in fact, I was quite happy about this turn of events. I was excited to see the man that I was created off of, and perhaps, I'd get more answers from him, a much more reliable point of view than Mr. Powers.
tab Justin came in an old, rusty trailer. As I stepped in, I took one glance back at Mr. Powers. His face sagged with utter discontent. It was a look I'd never soon forget. He deserved to look that way. He had every reason in the world to be ashamed of himself. I grinned. What a fitting end for a dispicable excuse for a man, was what I gleefully thought.
tab But even though it was the last time I'd see him, it was not the end for him. Not yet.
tab It was like having a reunion with a lost old friend, though in reality, I had never met Justin in my life.
tab Not to anyone's surprise, least of all mine, he was a mirror image of me. At least, in appearance. The way he talked and acted was more conceited and snotty than anything I had ever said or heard. And actually, I liked it. It was a nice change from a whiney Mr. Powers.
tab My joy didn't stop there. Justin had told me he had a little surprise on the ride to the trailer park. I don't know why he added the "little" part there, because when we reached our destination, I was nothing short of amazed.
tab Jenna was there. Alive, well, and smiling.
tab "I just kidnapped her back, if that makes much of any sense." It didn't, but I was glad he did. Mr. Powers didn't deserve Jenna. And he never did.
tab "Welcome to your new home, Doc," Jenna said, rushing up to me to give me a hug. "Your life's never going to be the same."
tab "Doc, do you know why I wanted you?" Justin had brought me inside the trailer to talk to personally.
tab "No," was my simple reply. A smirk grew on his face.
tab "Revenge. My driving force." I began to listen with more intent upon hearing that word.
tab "Do you want to know my theory? The best form of revenge, is irony. Something unexpected. When Mr. Powers created you, his intentions were for his own, personal gain. But, my plan is to do it to his own, personal lost."
tab "Are you implying," I began curiously, "that you want me to...kill Mr. Powers?"
tab "Not directly--you are my identical twin, and if you were found out, I would be the one to blame." He shook his head and went on,
tab "No, instead I would like you to kill him indirectly, using your unique...powers." I cocked my head.
tab "My...powers?"
tab "Tell me, Doc. Did you implement a communication device into your robots Jenna has told me so much about?" I nodded. I had, of course.
tab "Perhaps, then, we could use them to carry out our deeds." I blinked.
tab "Deeds? Not just one?" Justin nodded quickly.
tab "Oh yes. Mr. Powers is just the beginning. Everyone involved in this whole robot industrialzation, I want dead."
