• tab “I’ll be out in a second, okay?” Ren yelled to Julia’s retreating form.
tab He made his way quickly back to the aisle he’d left his jacket in. How could he be so forgetful. In the pocket was a small diamond ring he’d been caring around for a few weeks. He thought it was about time him and Julia settled in together. After all they had been partners in crime since they were babies.
tab He watched the tall shelves of books go past. When they’d arrived the library had been buzzing with people. Now, almost closing time it was practically empty and dreadfully silent. Only the girl with the glasses at the window remained when him and Julia had been leaving. However once he reached the glass stained window, the seat was empty. He paused. He would’ve sworn he would have heard her heels clack against the stone floor. His pulse quickened. As it was he didn’t like being in this stuffy library and girls disappearing wasn’t on his agenda. The library was the only sectioned left of the university that resembled the old crumbling castle.
tab He didn’t want to ponder so he quickly made his way to the back. Finally he reached his destination only to be confronted by a small girl. Her hair was tumbling onto the ground in heaps of blackened curls. She looked to be no more than ten, at least. A sly smile locked her lips together and her eyes were like cats. But these, were no ordinary cats eyes these ones held death and unforgivable sins.
tab “I found this.” Her voice was high and delicate. Nothing like what she resembled. She held out a small red velvet box. The ring. “What a pity. You won’t be able to give it to her.” She stepped forwards.
tab “What do you mean?” He also took a step back and shook his head. “No, I mean - can I have it back please.” He held his hand out for the little velvet box.
tab “Have you ever heard the expression looks could kill because I have, hundreds of time.”
tab He eyed her suspiciously. He decided if she must play her game, than let her. “Yes, what of it?”
    tab “Let me show you.”
tab Suddenly she grabbed his hand. Hot searing pain shot up his arm. His lungs contracted in and wouldn’t let out. His legs became stiff and rigid, as if he’d fall over any moment from lack of balance.
tab “How about if a touch could kill? Have you heard of that?”
tab He gasped for air and looked puzzlingly at the girl whom resembled a wild black panther at the moment. The thought of death at hand made all his memorable memories of Julia and him together run through his mind. Or so he’d like to think. He was more concerned about the little girl.
tab “Your probably thinking why you didn’t give it to her sooner, right?” She giggled.
tab “No, why?” He managed to gasp out. “Didn’t you ever love?”
tab Her eyes narrowed at him. “I’m a loveless, I can not love, let alone touch him!” She clasped her hand over her mouth knowing she’d revealed to much through her abrupt outburst of rage…
