• _Preface_
A young seven year old girl with black brunette hair and green teal gray eyes stared out the window as the rain poured heavily outside. The skies were bleak and hazed but the girl always found them to be beautiful even when it rained. Her eyes landed on a dark cloaked figure that was coming towards the front door. She squinted her large eyes at him trying to see a better view of his face, but the rain and the hood the stranger wore obscured her view. She did not know who the dark stranger was, nor did she know why he was approaching the house, but she was sure he was here to see her uncle for grown up business, like so many others who here. "Miss Shiomi," her nurse maid and the nanny of the house called out the little girl's name. Shiomi nodded as the older woman spoke, "Your uncle is calling for you. He says he wants you to meet someone." Shiomi stood up smoothing out the wrinkles in her plain dark green dress. Her uncle always told her to dress respectfully and nicely for him and any company that would be in the house, if she didn't then she would be confined to her room and locked in there until her uncle would let her out. So Shiomi made sure that not a single hair was out of place whenever she would greet her uncle's guests. She followed her nanny down the stairs making little light footsteps. They arrived to the dining room where her uncle was along with the stranger that she saw outside, a man that she did not recognize. But he was terrifying to say the least. Flowing, messy, yet curly smooth elegant dark raven hair long wisps of it falling over his face framing his thin yet hansome face. His eyes were almost hynotic; one eye was a bloody red while the other was a clear dark blue like the ocean, though both eyes were different color both held the same emotion which made hold back a shudder: Bloodlust.....
And the way he was looking at her with those eyes... It made her squirm, but she couldn't with her uncle glowering at her so intensely. Instead she froze in her tracks, deciding to keep a fair distance between her and this dangerously handsome stranger. "Shiomi," her uncle's hard voice brought her out of her insecure feelings about said stranger, "This is Rido Kuran... He is here to see about your disabilities." She flinched at the last word, even though she was only seven, she knew very well what that word meant, and couldn't help but hate it. It made her feel like she was inferior, as though she had no mental intelligence at all. That is how her uncle treated her, like she was slow in the head. "And Rido this is my neice the one I was telling you about." The man known as Rido Kuran smiled as he looked her up and down, "She's lovely," he said silkily in a rough husky tone. "Introduce yourself," her uncle snapped at her harshly. She stepped forward giving a light faint bow, "Shiomi Akuya, sir..." Rido Kuran nodded as he watched, suddenly he raised his hand beckoning to her come to him, "Come closer sweet child." Without looking at her uncle she hesitantly sauntered to him. Standing in front of him she felt one of muscles in her cherub innocent young face twitch anxiously. Rido Kuran stared at her with that same leer on his face. The way he was looking at her, it almost made her think like he wanted to eat her. "Kasai, why don't you leave me and your neice alone to talk, after all," Rido paused with an oily grin on his face, "I don't think she will want to say anything with you watching her like a hawk." Her uncle frowned at this, but nodded angrily, and in the most composed way, Shiomi's uncle, Kasai Akuya stalked out of the room. "Now then," she turned to face Rido Kuran, "Why don't you tell me about your unusual capabilities," he sneered at her, his oily grin replaced by a hungry, dark sadistic smile...
