• My eyes slowly opened as the light shone through them. I opened my mouth in shock at the room I was now in, "Ah!" Surprisingly what shocked me even more was the noise coming from my mouth. "Mr..?" I lifted the sheets away from my body and hopped out of the bed. After taking the jacket hanging on a chair edge I walked towards and opened the door. Just as I moved my right foot into the hallway something blocked my way. "Ah.. ah!" It shocked me and I fell to the ground. "..ouch," I looked up to find a man standing in front of me. He wore a white jacket and name tag which read, "Ch..chance Sum..mer, Chance Summer?" I looked at his face once again noticing just who he was. "Hello again little elf," he leant over and helped me up. "See, I said that you could trust me." Chance put his hand into a side pocket and pulled out a small, shiny ball. "It's candy. You can eat it." I looked down at it and took it with my hands, "Thank you." Lifting a smile I grinned at him. "I'm glad the surgery was a success, I performed it myself." He walked over to a table and picked up the paper sitting on it then looked back at me, "Can you read well little elf?" My mother had taught me how to read before she passed away, "yes," I put the candy into my mouth and began to chew. "Candy tastes strange," Chance chuckled and placed his hand on my chin and lowered my mouth open. "That's because you didn't take the wrapper off of it first." Embarressed, I knocked his hand away and turned towards a wall. "I like it this way!" Pretending I was familiar with candy and being hard headed I started chewing faster. "Alright, alright," he chuckled again. "Lilium." He moved closer to me, "yes?" I crossed my arms and stood straight, "My name is Lilium. Thank you for helping me, Chance." He put his hands on my shoulders, turned me around and then picked me up and sat me back on the bed, "Your very welcome Lili." Immediately I replied, "Lilium! LI-LI-UM!" Chance let out a laugh and sat on the bed beside me. He lifted his hand and pat my head, "We're going to have to take some tests," He paused for a moment, "Lili."
